Orlando Part Two-The Happiest Place on Earth

When Scott first mentioned taking Keaton to Disney, I told him she would be just as happy walking around the park in front of his house. Jeff is working for Disney and could get us in for free and Scott insisted. When Dad and Lori decided to come up for the weekend, they had wanted to stay at the Animal Kingdom lodge for a while and so the trip was planned. In hindsight, we are lucky to have so many people who want to see Keaton experience new things.

Saturday night we had dinner at the resort and enjoyed the view from our rooms.

We had been wondering where Keaton got her eye color from. This picture makes it pretty clear.
I have been to Disney as a child quite a bit, but it was completely new to experience it as a parent and through Keaton's eyes. She enjoyed walking around the park and smiling at everyone around us. She especially liked being passed around to everyone throughout the day. She started her trip to the park with a nap. Dad put her in the carrier and she was out within minutes. She slept for at least the first hour we were in the park. Here she is after waking up just as we were getting on the safari ride.

After lunch and some air conditioning, we decided to try out the Lion King show. I can only explain it as pure baby happiness. Keaton got so excited that she was flailing her arms and jumping up and down while screaming. She was so excited that people actually stopped watching the show and started watching her. Here she is before the show started.

As we were leaving the park, it occurred to us we should probably get a shot of the three of us together. This also ended up being the only picture of the three of us together from the entire trip.

Here she is waiting for the bus to go back to the lodge. Bless her little baby heart. She was a trooper! She was long overdue for a nap and still all smiles.

Just as a side note, you will notice that most of pictures have her with Grandpa. As I have gone through pictures to post on the blog, I have noticed that there are very few pictures of anyone else holding her. I am not saying he hogged her all day long, but the pictures definitely would indicate that is a possibility.
